BARQUISIMETO, VENEZUELA — THE BEGINNING

Jesser Escobar was born in Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela, where art became part of his life from an early age. Long before discovering tattooing, graffiti gave him his first opportunity to explore color, composition, scale, and creative expression.

What began as curiosity gradually became a lifelong purpose. In 2015, Jesser began his professional journey as a tattoo artist, transferring his artistic foundation from walls and traditional surfaces to the human body. He quickly discovered that tattooing allowed him to combine technical precision with the power of telling meaningful stories through art.

ECUADOR & CHILE — BUILDING THE DREAM

After arriving in the United States, Jesser established his career in Charlotte, North Carolina. This new chapter gave him the opportunity to expand his artistic vision, connect with clients from across the country, and participate in major tattoo conventions throughout the United States.

His work became recognized for its powerful compositions, technical detail, vibrant color saturation, and ability to flow naturally with the anatomy of each client. Over time, he developed a distinctive approach to realism and surrealism in both Full Color and Black and Grey.

Jesser’s work has received numerous awards, including Best of Show Collaboration in Miami, Best Collaboration at the Empire State Tattoo Expo in New York, and multiple awards at the Charlotte Tattoo Arts Festival for Large Color, Healed Color, and Color of the Day. He has also participated in international conventions as a judge, sharing his experience and artistic perspective with the tattoo community.

In 2016, at the age of 19, Jesser left Venezuela and moved to Ecuador in search of new opportunities. During this stage, he worked in automotive painting while continuing to develop his artistic skills and pursue his dream of building a career in tattooing.

His journey later took him to Chile, where he continued refining his technique and developing his identity as an artist. Those years were shaped by perseverance, sacrifice, family, and constant learning. Every challenge strengthened his discipline and deepened his commitment to creating a future through art.

Throughout this period, Jesser focused increasingly on realism and color. His dedication began earning recognition, including First Place in Color Realism at a tattoo convention in Quito in 2019—an important milestone in his growing international career.

UNITED STATES — A NEW CHAPTER

Today, Jesser is an award-winning realism and surrealism tattoo artist specializing in large-scale custom projects, including full sleeves, legs, backs, chests, portraits, and cover-ups. Every composition is created from scratch and designed to represent the client’s story while adapting naturally to their body.

For Jesser, tattooing is more than placing an image on the skin. It is a collaboration between artist and client—a process of transforming memories, emotions, and personal experiences into permanent works of art.

His passion has also grown beyond his own tattoo practice. Through seminars and artistic education, Jesser shares his knowledge of composition, color theory, project planning, digital tools, photography, and creative development with other tattoo artists.

From the streets of Barquisimeto to major tattoo conventions across the United States, every stage of his journey has shaped the artist he is today. His story continues to evolve through every client, every project, and every piece of art that goes beyond the skin.

Leaving behind his country and everything familiar, Jesser built his career through discipline, consistency, and an unwavering passion for growth. Every country, experience, and challenge helped shape the artist he is today, taking his work from the streets of Barquisimeto to some of the most important stages within the international tattoo industry.

Jesser Escobar’s journey began long before he became a tattoo artist. From an early age, he found a form of expression through drawing, painting, and graffiti, developing a natural connection with art that would eventually evolve into his profession and purpose.
